SNOW CRUISE ONZE HOKKAIDO
Snow Cruise Onze is a ski area in the eastern region of Otari City in Hokkaido, Japan’s second-largest island and most northernmost prefecture. Otaru City is in the Shiribeshi subprefecture, within the region known as Donan (‘Southern Hokkaido’).
The base of Snow Cruise Onze is at an elevation of 100m and close to the coastline, and the northeastern-facing slopes look out over Ishikari Bay.
This ski area has a history dating back to 1965. It was initially known as Harukadoshin Ski Area. The name was officially changed to Snow Cruise Onze in 1980. Apparently, the name, which includes the French word for 11, comes from the ski area aiming to open on 11th November (or at least some time in mid-November) and also opening for night skiing until 11pm.

Kunizakai Kogen Snow Park is a ski area located in Takashima City in the northern region of Shiga Prefecture.
The ski area is by the side of Route 161 and close to the border with Fukui Prefecture. In fact, one of the ski lifts is actually within Fukui Prefecture. This makes it convenient for people coming from Tsuruga City in the north and from the south.
Kunizakai Kogen Snow Park has four pair ski lifts (540m, 479m, 388m and 702m), but the one located within Fukui was not featured on the 2022-2023 course map.
